About

I represent people who are seriously injured in truck, auto, pedestrian, motorcycle, or bike accidents and families with wrongful death claims. Many of my cases involve a semi-truck, box delivery truck, or other commercial vehicle. I had my first trucking case as a young lawyer in 1985 against a large national trucking company involving a wrongful death. I intentionally have a small law office, and I limit the number of cases I have at any one time to provide the best possible legal representation for my clients. My practice is built upon the referrals of past clients, members of the community, and other lawyers familiar with my legal experience and commitment to my clients.

  • I have been helping injured people and their families for over 40 years. My office is in the historic Steinbach Block Building in Chelsea, Michigan. I only represent individuals and families; I do not represent insurance companies or large corporations. I’ve handled many personal injury cases, including product liability, admiralty, premises liability, and other torts. I do not handle medical malpractice cases. I am particularly interested in helping victims of vehicle accidents who suffer from traumatic brain injuries. I also assist other lawyers and law firms as trial counsel, co-counsel, or technology consultant in trucking, traumatic brain injury, or other catastrophic injury cases.

  • Technology, specifically Google services and Apple products such as the MacBook, iPad, and iPad Apps, is a significant part of my practice. I am a frequent lecturer on using technology in the practice of law and at trial. Technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), levels the playing field for my clients against the vast resources of insurance companies or large corporations.
